In short: Superb race, why would anybody moan this year?
In full: I got a pb by nearly a minute, the weather was freezing but everyone was still smiling. Parking was fine, a massive field, some cars were skidding but that was due to the weather.

The course was two laps very flat and fast and the distance was spot on, i'll be doing this again next year for sure.

There were no issues with the start, this is the fastest 10k race i've ever done, nailed on pb race!

In short: Well done Lichfield
In full: Overall this was a great event and I will do it agin next year. The start needs to be changed as it was most bizzare when there was a massive open field next to it. I too, also wondered why the '200 metres to go' sign was well after the 13 mile marker ?
Having said this, it was a nice route, far more scenic than B'ham and Wolves Half Marathons and the marshalls seemed very friendy as did the vocal residents of Whittington - it was NOT a flat race, the long slow inclines were not exactly hills but i would have prefered to know before the race, overall a massive thumbs up though from me - if the conditions were cooler this would be pb heaven!

In short: Great Event
In full: This is the second year I have done this Half Marathon and I was really pleased, even better than last year due to mile markers....yes there were some slow runners at the front but it fanned out after 100 metres so it wasn't really a problem.

Also to the people sying it was hilly, you must be joking? one of the fastest half marathons I have done by far...yes there are a few hills towards the end but they are not big hills?

Well worth the money and i'll be back next year, oh and pb'd this year and last :-)

In short: Great atmosphere...but.....
In full: Super tight having to buy a T-Shirt?? The change from October ruined most peoples experience as it was far too hot. There was no water at the start and even though this was the hottest day of the year, the first water station was at 3 miles?? Thw worst goody bag I have seen. Having siad this, the people of Coventry were fantastic and make it worth coming back, I just feel the organisers have looked tosave money in every aspect of this event :-(

In short: Awesome, see you in 2011
In full: This is the first time I've done this race and I loved it.Very well organised and a great atmosphere. It's great that you get soup and roll at the end and a medal too.
The course isn't that flat with a couple of energy sapping hills in the last mile just to challenge you.I'll be back again next year for sure. Much better views than road races!

In short: Superb Race - Shame Paula had a sore throat!??
In full: Great atmosphere again, Don't want to be too negative as this was an awesome race, great route with pb potential, better than last year... best goodie bag I have ever seen with a quality medal. Only negatives were poor start, due to Marshalls having NO control over slow runners starting in the wrong sections...also the NIA staff were awful and rude and that's being nice about them. Having said that, this is one of the best Half Marathons I have done, last years was also great and i'll be back in 2010!

In short: Great Half Marathon, roll on 2009!
In full: A great course! The flyover was a shock, you knew it would be a challenge from the off! Not one for PB but very good run and finish area was great, really greatful of the coach back to the start too!

The loo situation was bad at the start, everyone was using bushes etc....at least double the loos would help.

Brilliant goody bag, the content was good and the medal is the best I have seen yet! Can't wait for my 2009 one.

Amazing support and really appreciated the musicians who took my mind off the pain. Best atmosphere I have seen so far. Loved the run and will be back next year.

To the people who all moaned about the start delay, 10 mins delay with 9000 runners! not bad and NOT worth moaning about! And I didn't get stuck in traffic, I set off early! lol

Well done everyone involved and the marshalls who really helped, they were shouting so much I bet they have sore throats now!
