In short: A fantastic 33 mile trail race. A must for anyone who wants a challenge!
In full: Fantastic, well organised, challenging. A race for everyone whether a fast ultra runner or a walk/jogger. Generous cut off and a sensible bail out option for struggling runners to make it an 'easier' 20 miles:-)

In short: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome; Beautiful, Amazing & Great; what a day:-)
In full: Another amazing Lakeland Trails event. Stunning course that will challenge the best whilst still achievable to all. I love these events. Stunning scenery, real picture post card stuff. Worth the 700 mile round trip from the South coast for such a fantastic event!

In short: Awesome, Awesome, Awesome; Beautiful, Amazing, Great; what a day, what a weekend:-)
In full: This has to be one of the best events! I though it could not be topped until and ran the 'Ullswater Steamy Surprise' the next day. Now that was the best!!!
Put the two together as the organisers did, and you get the 'Dirty Double'. Two of the most amazing races 'back to back' on the same weekend you could ever do. Challenging, tough, with the best back drop money can buy. What can I say, book early for 2009 as places will go very, very fast..... A massive thanks has to go to the organisering team, and especially the brains behind these events, with who my weekend would not have been so exciting, memorable and AWESOME..... YOU ALL ROCK...... See you next year...

In short: What can I say, horrendous weather, difficult conditions and still an awesome event. Still worth the 700 mile round trip from the South Coast :-)
In full: Beautiful weather Friday, horrendous Saturday (the day of the Race) and fantastic Sunday. The amended course was wet, hard going and challenging. The Organisers where challenged by Mother Nature at here worst and put on a great event. Looking forward to the double Helvlyn & Ullswater in November. These events are worth the hassle of 700 mile round trip because they will do everything to make it happen safely. Thanks for a great weekend when most people were complaining about the weather!!!!!!
