In short: Brilliiantly organised, fantastic martials, scenery and value for money
In full: A superb day all round. Brilliant organisation and superb support from the martials, checkpoint staff/feed stations and catering staff etc etc.

Wonderful course with stunning vistas and testing trails. By far the hardest race I've ever done but what a very memorable day!

Value for money too was outstanding and it was a very nice touch to offer runners a place to kip down the evening before for free!

I can't remember attending a better organised event which offered such oustanding value for money!

I'll be back!!!

In short: Enjoyable M/T event with PB potential
In full: Enjoyable M/T event in Downham Market. Lovely atmosphere and organisation made this a very pleasant evening race. Only approx 1200 metres off road, which broke up the route nicely. But for the heat, this could have been an even better PB night for me, but more than happy with result.

In short: Hot and Windy on the airfield, but well urganised with a nice atmosphere
In full: Very warm atmosphere and weather! Too windy on the airfield, which destroyed my pace, but we're in the lap of the gods with that of course and airfields are always windy.

Great support and marshalling and I would do a third time. However, I have the same criticism as last year, regarding lack of results and results not being available when promised.

This obviously isn't seen as important to the organisers, but it's a key selling point for me and many other runners I know. This one point put me off greatly last year, which is a pity as it could so easily be remedied. Expectations shouldn't be set and then dashed.

Nevertheless, well done a great event!

In short: What a day! What an event! What an experience! Absolutely awesome!
In full: My first marathon at the gae of 50 and what a choice!

This was a terrifically well organised event, great experience and a splendid result for me. I came home in 3:09:18, achieving my 'Good For Age' (GFA) target time for VLM of sub 3:15.

I only started racing seriously in Nov 2008, so I'm absolutely delighted with my result and plan to go sub 3 next year when I take on a couple more marathons. This will definitely be one of them! Highly recommended - a cracker without question!

In short: Not a PB course - Name should include M/T
In full: Positives: Chip timing, fast results on the day, atmosphere in Stratford, Toilet facilities etc.
Negatives: start and finish too far apart (inconvenient for parking), Gradients, abrupt changes of direction affecting pace/rhythmn.

In short: Superb but challenging - Not for the faint-hearted - believe me!
In full: Awesome atmosphere, support and organisation. 50,000 plus spectators (3-4 deep all the way around the course) This is not a race to be taken lightly, as you can be forced to retire if you don't hit half way within 10 mins. Found the prospect of the crowds, inclines daunting before the event, but so glad I did it. A fantastic race, no question!!! Equalled my PB :-)

In short: Excellent race, organisation and support
In full: A good race and surpised to PB, considering the airfield section and windy conditions.

Very supportive runners/ RAF personnel and organisation. Although it was made clear that results wouldn't be available until the Wednesday, it is a tad disappointing to have to wait so long. Having said that though, times were called out as each runner crossed the line, so everyone should have a good idea of their position/time.

In short: Good atmosphere, but not a PB course
In full: Not a course to tackle in the summer in my opinion and not a PB. It was too hot/muggy for me and too darn hilly. Well organised and good atmosphere.

In short: Great course and couldhave been PB material but for the heat
In full: Well organised, good course, friendly marshalls and terrific HQ. Was hoping to PB, but when I arrived and realised how hot it was, I knew it was a no, no.

Well worth the visit, but surprised at the low numbers.
