In short: A flat reasonable flat course, a good beginners race In full: The course this year took you through the centre of Leicester, twice, and also took you into the countryside round a lakeside park and along the canal. A great mix of scenery.
The course was very comprehensively marshalled with very good road closures and felt very safe, which is not always the case. The course although flat was a bit twisty so not mega fast.
There was good support on the course which aids enormously.
Still feels likes a small race and one I will definitely do again

In short: The Race was billed as a 56 mile ultra marathon where runners should be self sufficient for food. That is exactly what us runners got. The race was made more difficult by the poor conditions but overall an excellent event. Date of review: October 8, 2008
