In short: Flat charge through post-industrial landscape before hitting the Solent with views of the Isle of White. In full: Good stuff: Organisation superb, lots of water on the route, flat course, free jelly babies handed out by marshals, superb samba band popping up in the middle of nowhere, route that passes a huge decommissioned Hoverspeed hovercraft rusting aslump its flabby rubber skirt.
Room for improvement (= nit picking): I personally don't like running on pavements where people's drives cause irregular dips; get there early to park near the HQ, medal a bit plain. Date of review: November 20, 2011

In short: Possibly the flattest course I've ever done. In full: Pros: flat, quick, by the sea, family atmosphere. Cons: Not many mile posts, water stations ran out of water. Date of review: November 13, 2011
