In short: I thought this was a brilliant first event. Yes it was challenging over the first and last three miles but the rest of the course was very fair.
In full: As a start up rest I can only pass on my congratulations to the organizers. I live in Peterborough and traveled the 80 miles to do the race (my family live around Tonbridge) and thought it was well worth the trip.
If there were some issues (I was not aware of any) given how good the whole event was this year I am sure they will be sorted for 2012. I will definitely be there and I would certainly recommend it to others.

In short: Strange word to use.... but it was 'beautiful' race.
In full: I loved everything about this race, right from registering through to crossing the finishing line. Organisation was fantastic and the marshalling was second to none. Beautiful countryside and ran through some lovely hamlets. The run itself was challenging with a number of hills, but somehow the downs felt longer than the ups. Thank you to all the volunteers and the spectators.

In short: Very challenging course and in some places dangerous. I fell over once and saw a lady actually fall into a ditch. Not good for the ankles at all. Too many areas of single paths that made it difficult to overtake.
In full: Never felt comfortable during this race at all. Constantly worried about turning my ankle. Not enjoyable and really wanted to give up after the first field, but we were told that it would get better. Yes it did, but then it got harder. Sorry I know this was a first race, but I would have thought with all the beautiful countryside around the area there could have been more road used.
