In short: 30 more years!!
In full: Loved the course, I was struggling with a hamstring injury throughout..but still enjoyed the nice touches...

however, the timing was way out guys..ditto with me on the timing mat (non-existant) my own watch had 48 secs difference between start to finish compared to the chip time which had more!! To the organisers: I've used this tape style chip before at mornington chasers and it was also way out from the actual time..shame but still enjoyed my run!!

In short: a 10k that feels like a ten miler...
In full: Great small event, unlikely pb chasing for most..lovely touch with graham taylor handing out medals at the end...gentleman.

Very hot today but happy with the run as last 8-9km is indeed tough..given the weather..extra tough!!

In short: 2nd time of asking and what a hot one it was
In full: Disagree with the poster who claimed eddy marathon has more atmosphere..perhaps till mile 12 but after that its like a training run...

brighton is trying to make a difference to the uk marathon slots...the heat did not work in favour but i'm more worried about turn out ratio for 15,000 runners to get 7,800 runners is worrying...

In short: home area race and always a smile at the end of the park...
In full: AS everyone is pointing out, challenging race..great for marathon build up as most races will not test you for the hills like this one...disagree with a few comments about pb potential..generally a flat course will win over a undulating one..anyhow slight improvement on 2009 watford(11 secs)will take this as step up to longer training for spring watford..good to be back 'home' watford!!

In short: Great first attempt Brighton..thanks to all the support!!
In full: Great first attempt which one can hope continues to improve and improve...very happy after the first 13 miles, although putting up the wall was pure evil guys...

Very happy with my PB which was a massive improvement on London 2009-shaved off 14 mins for a 3hours 13 min finish...great medal and a t-shirt that fits at last!!! Agreed that powerade was needed towards the end with tops on!! But a massive thanks to the supporters and volunteers/marshalls all which couldn't be done without you!! If you don't get London this will make your year on the calendar..and its faster with less runners!

In short: Training run that puts official races to shame
In full: Agree with the previous entrant, the tow paths for the first 3 miles were like trail running X-Country..but once on the roads it was great..despite the horrible weather the marshalls are what make the event worthwhile especially in light of yesterdays weather! For £5 you won't find many unique courses....I was also lucky to come across a stampede of deer (x20 odd) running accross the road, what a sight!

In short: Marshalls are worth their weight in gold!!
In full: Great marshalling...only gripe was the timing..my result on the website is 20 secs slower than my watch time, think that may have something to do with start and sending us over the timing mat before the gun went off guys?!

In full: What a Day!! A PB (Despite doing a Paula), hills but no agressive ones...great crowd, even allowing for chavvy kids throwing water..hey it was hot so no problems there...do this the enormity of the event will sweep you away!!!
