In short: Thank you TW Harriers...
In full: Excellent race, organisation, facilities, ,edal presented by a Paralympian (I'm very honoured) and THE HILL... Knocked me down about a minute a mile but did well... Glad I bought my own gels... needed them... No gripes and will be back next year... A bargain and makes me wonder about the costs of some other races...

In short: Thank you for a wonderful race...
In full: As mentioned there are hills, only 3, but they add up to 2400ft of climb... That's good as there's 2400ft of down as well... Everything about this race was ace... Marshalls, organisation, support, 12 water/feed stations, fellow competitors... And I got a bit of the 30th birthday cake at the end, thought it would've all been snaffled... Mrs Lemmy wants to do it again, we'll have to see how persuadable I am on New Year Eves!!!

In short: Excellent Half Marathon
In full: Great value, good souvenir in time for winter (fluro t-shirt), excellent marshals, tough but fast course and top-notch facilities... Only complaint was water, I'd prefer cups as I just have a few sips, so seemed a waste to throw most of a 500ml bottle of water... Thanks again, see you next year...

In short: Nice race, got a PB!
In full: Bargain race with all abilities catered for... Fantastic facilties pre & post race... Splendid support on the route... Excellent Race memento, a golden trainer...

(one gripe, needed a marshall right at the end to guide runners onto the running track; saw several runners run up to barrier then have to make detour around it)

In short: This is how they should be done...
In full: Wow... What can I say, superb race, challenging course with "undulations" superb organisation (water stations, baggage store, showers, excellent support, sweeties, locals, this is how they should be done. Some of the BIG race should come to Halstead to see how it's done... AND cheap as chips (less than pound a mile, they'll put the p[rice up now LOL!!!)... And a PB!! Well done everyone and look forward to next time...

In short: Wow... That hill... 3 times!!!
In full: Excellent race despite the rain, laps meant I could pop in to race hq to get long sleeve as I was freezing, and use facilities... Support fantastic despite/because of weather, narwhals enthusiastic and a lovely technical tshirt in the size asked for makes this a great race... Thank you Essex 20

In short: An excellent spring half
In full: A nice challenging course, definitely undulating, but lots of people got PBs... Steady up and cane the downs... No fuss, no big fanfare, excellent marshalling & support and excellent bunch of other runners... Thanks WGEL

In short: Wot no mud? Have to do with the Wind instead...
In full: 1st time at Benfleet 15... The cross country bits around the downs were great, the sea wall coming east to west very challenging, effort repaid with satisfaction at job well done.

Marshalls excellent, well stocked stations with goodies (mars bar, custard creams, jelly babies) and friendly racers.

Bit of a queue at one stile when we could've gone through a gate (which some/most people did), but next stile resulted in correct & proper british queuing at it's finest.

If you found a wedding ring, let me know.

In short: Keep it up Dr Robert... Fnarrr!
In full: Again a brilliant race, the extra roady bit was uphill, brilliant... And excellent new hills by making us run up then down, then up again!!! Who'd've thought of that!!! Excellent fancy dress, cheese rolls, medal, shirt (when I get one, Dr Robert ALWAYS delivers!), mug, Roblets and especially marshalls. Ian - "Hawaiian Dude" with maracas...

In short: A great race...
In full: ...but could be tougher!! Maybe due to "mud-alley" being withdrawn, but the rutting and muddiness of some of the tracks made it technical enough and some nice open track allowed speed to bebuilt up to compensate. Nice & friendly and a great mug, different colour to last years, so what's next years colour? See you next November!
