In short: A really well organised event with something for everyone
In full: The organisers will never please everyone, however if you are willing to run through the night, camp and run a bit/lot then you will have a great time. The key is to be in a team which suits the runner, beginners can join larger teams for example. It has been said that this event will not grow any larger and I hope that is the case as the 10k course is narrow and would get congested and the event would lose the great flowing feeling it has. Well done the organisers and marshalls.

In short: All the complaints are valid!
In full: I do this race every year as part of a corporate team, the atmosphere is great but imagine the London Marathon squeezed onto a 10k course with a single massed start and piles of 25,000 bags lying in a heap on the pavement and you get an idea of the issues. It could be so much better, starting pens are simple to do and everyone would enjoy the race so much more but I feel feedback falls on deaf ears.

In short: Well orgamised, dead flat course, plenty of room
In full: A straightfoward marathon with mix of town & country. So many marshalls, thanks to all involved. Great finish venue.

In short: Well organised first race in beautiful open coutryside
In full: I phoned the organisers on Thursday to ask about a further drinks stn at 11 miles and was advised they were looking into this. Disappointed that nothing happened as way too hot to make do with no water from 9 miles. There did seem to be plenty of water at stns though.

That said the race was great and really well supported. Surprised the course was so hilly and not sure this is ideal for future years, but its the same for everyone. It is easy pick fault; overall the race was excellent. Well done all involved.

In short: fast course and lots of positives from the day
In full: Really encouraging and numerous marshalls, well organised race, improvements from previous years. Great for pb's. Ok not the most scenic but dont complain too much, just enjoy it - it could be worse. I see the car park machine is still troublesome, get there v early is my advice.

In short: Great race over varied challenging terrain, would like to see timing
In full: Great course, well marshalled and organised. Lack of timing will put off many serious runners and sense of anticlimax afterwards with no results. Challenging course can be weather affected so tricky for the unprepared first timer, but very rewarding to complete.

In short: 24 hours, a day - often wasted, not this day of days, do it and find out!
In full: An excellent event, unsure what to expect except lots of running, however in a team of 5 it was very managable. If you've done a few races or even a marathon, this is different and should be undertaken by all runners for the sheer hell of it and the great memories of conversations at 2am or holding off a chasing runner at sunrise. Great sense of achievement and comraderie as well as an increasing sense of awe when seeing the solo runners doing their stuff.

In short: Great marathon course with amazing support and well organised
In full: Fantastic race, run like clockwork. Crowds were amazing and the noise at 13.1m was incredible. was surprised the course was not as flat as described although there were mostly slopes they were noticable after 18m.

Did find some issue with the half marathon split time as my garmin showed 2 mins less although I have been having trouble with it I was interested to read other runners seemed to think chip time was not 100% acurate.

Great race, well done to the organisers and the people of Brighton.

In full: Well done organisers and the people of Reading, a successful race enjoyed by thousands of runners. MK take note! Enjoyed the whole day, hopefully the M4 junction roadworks will be finished next year!
