In short: Fast, nice mug at the end
In full: First time I run it. I am a club runner, but on the slow side and felt a bit sorry for myself ending up with the bottom 60 or so finishers. The race was well organised, well marshalled, as I am slow I had enough to enjoy the route along the river! Very good value for money. Hope to run it with some of my club mates next year.

In short: Very well organised
In full: My first 20 miler. Lots of waterstations, lots of friendly, supportive marshalls. Everything went like clockwork. Decent goodybag. The only gripe: the commemorative t-shirts are a bit pricey.

In short: Best Sunday morning in ages!
In full: My first ever 20 miler. Fantastic organi-sation, friendly participants, most welcome biscuits and snacks at Check Points. I fell into brambles and was ankle deep in mud, but loved the scenic route and will be back next year. Incredible value for £2.50. A big, big THANK YOU to the CP volunteers who spend hours in the cold.

In short: Hilly, but worth it
In full: Well organised, good sign posting, friendly marshals. I always look forward to the home made flapjacks at the 7M water station. I don't like hills and always suffer, but love the sense of satisfaction after the race.

In short: Great scenery but no water and dodgy mile makers
In full: The inclines were not as bad as I feared. That the the water station had run out of water filled me with the same incredulity as the fact that the 3rd mile took me over 13 minutes (I am normally 9 - 9 1/2 minutes to the mile), as did the fact that the next mile took me just over 6 minutes. Hmmm ....Other than that it was a lovely route and I shall be back next year.

In short: HILLY
In full: Great organisation, plenty of friendly marshals. Lots of water stations. Brilliant goody bag, good value for money. The downside? I don't like to suffer and I don't like hills! But I am sure the memories of the hills will fade and I probably be back next year.
