In short: Great race but Garmin clocked well over distance...
In full: The organisation was superb, the marshalls friendly and efficient and the course is flat and quick, with only a couple of dead turns on each lap to slow you down. However, my GPS clocked 13.53 miles; I always expect to be a bit over (weaving and passing
etc, you never take the racing line) but 0.43ml is a bit much...
Would have got a clear PB, too. Darn.

In short: Decent 10k in a nice environment.
In full: Slight undulations, a steep-ish hill at 3ml and a long downhill stretch threw my pacing a bit but an enjoyable, fairly quick race that is well organised and set in a peaceful location.

In short: Fast, friendly and superbly organised.
In full: The course is flat (apart from a small hill in the last mile) and fast, got a PB which always helps! Inputting your race number to get your chip time at the Finish was a nice touch, too.

In short: A good, fun race over a fast course (when it's not apocalyptic weather).
In full: Well organised, nice heart warming atmosphere and what would have been a PB making course... I waved any chance of a great time goodbye on the 3rd mile as I ran in to the wind and rain on the motorway section. Brutal. Repeated on the 2nd lap, too.

In short: This marathon was absolutely nails but good route. Poorly marshalled, though.
In full: This is an extremely hard marathon with some insanely steep parts. Cracking scenery, other runners very friendly and welcoming but the marshalling was awful; the whole race had to turn back near the start, adding 1/2 mile to the total distance (did 26.7ml over a rock hard course!). Let's face it, it was long enough anyway...

In short: Nice course, good atmosphere.
In full: After a bit of a clustered start this opens up in to a scenic and well organised half. The little lad handing out jelly babies in the last mile made me smile through my pain!

In short: 3rd year in a row, still my favourite race!
In full: Always a great race; well organised, friendly and a course which is challenging enough to test you but scenic enough and with enough local support to be good fun. 3rd year in a row I've nailed a PB on this course as well!

In short: Superbly organised, good goody bag.
In full: Not a hard course as such but a few slight but long inclines sap your strength. Still quite a quick course though, got a PB. The course is scenic and faultlessly marshalled. Pretty good race, would certainly recommend it.

In short: Tough course, especially the first half or so, but rewarding, well organised and good fun (isn't that what it's all about?).
