In short: Great first 10k
In full: First 10k, so opted for a local race that friends had already competed in and I knew what to expect.

Can only echo what others have already said about the event - positives: the scenery was lovely (but I knew that!), great support from people along the route, the scouts at the water station were great (apologies those that got wet, not having perfected running and grabbing cups!), the marshalls were great and the cakes were well beyond the standard of even a fantastic tea shop - best ever!!

Negatives? The start was a bit chaotic (all of a sudden people were running) and it wasn't clear where the finish "line" was, so many of us raced to the end of the chute, about 20m beyond the line itself.

Will be back next year!
