In short: Very slickly organised
In full: A very well organised Iron distance tri. The swim isn't the best and smells of duck poo but it would be hard to get lost! Cycle is straight forward with only one small hill of note, run is great for seeing how everyone else is doing. It doesn't have the sense of occasion an IM has but it is good value. Only minor gripe is that there is no real expo.

In short: Has Potential on a nice day!
In full: cancelled swim was no fault of the organizers it really was that cold. Bike course is fast and run is scenic. Superb Port a loos at finish. However there is no getting away from the fact that the Romney marsh is still somewhere in the 17th century!

In short: This is a challenge not a race
In full: Had fun, at least with the mist I couldn't see the hills. It really is a very well organised event.

In short: One of the easier trail marathons, well organised
In full: Clockwork orginisation, scenic course. If I have a gripe its that starting the 1/2 marathon 1 hour 45 minutes after the start of the full marathon means that marathon runners run straight into the back of the 1/2M pack on a some very narrow sections where overtaking is dificult. Its aminor gripe because I was out a for a days run not a PB but would annoy if actually racing. marshalling and course markings were exellcent, jelly babies at all aid stations. Recommended

In short: FUN FUN FUN!
In full: Loved it, up there with all the other trail marathons I've run, scenic course, course well marked, friendly aid stations, though a couple more would be appreciated. Perhaps a shade short but no complaints, Give it a go!

In short: A great ultra,
In full: If you have run a marathon of two and maybe a road ultra or two then this is the next step up. Great aid stations, plenty of pre race information. A definate buzz to finish, needs a bit of work training wise but worth the effort

In short: Would be great without the wind!
In full: First marathon I have ever run where miles 19 -26 felt easier than 13 - 19 thanks to the rather strong breeze! Excellent marshalling and plenty of my favourite fuel.. wine gums.
Even enjoyed the banter from a few Chavs along the sea front, all wearing tracksuit trousers, plenty of bling and the obligatory Burberry baseball cap.. excellent! Will return one day.

In short: Well run but Tough, really needs a water station before 7 miles, after that the water stations are well spaced. Very Enjoyable but did I say it was tough?
