In short: Excellent training run
In full: Entered this as a training run for a longer event next month but competitiveness got the better of me-my mistake! Nearly all up or down with that killer hill at the end. Saw the 13 mile marker and we were still climbing. Great organisation, at least 6 drinks stations-I lost count, and tea and cakes at the finish. Compact race village with little or no journey from car park to start. Well done Lions International. Some of the bigger organisatiions should look to this as their bench mark for professionalism.

In short: Just what sundays are made for.
In full: Good fun back to basics trail race with no contrived obstacles. Killer hill which seems to go on forever but then- Oh what views. Well done.

In short: Keep it small and friendly. Great local race.
In full: Designated refreshment area would have been a nice touch. Leisure centre staff made cups of tea as it was so cold but I think they wouldnt normally do this. Loved every minute.

In short: Wow-those hills!
In full: Entered originally for the marathon but couldn't make the training so swapped to half with no difficulty. Hard course but knew it would be. Fantastic marshalling. How do they keep up the enthusiasm especially those on the half route who had to encourage the marathoners also? Expected a little more off road and was a bit disappointed with the amount of tarmac in the half. Perhaps they can turn it around next yr and the half follow the first lap of the marathon!
