In short: Clockwork organisation, lovely rural route with a sting in the tail.
In full: You don't notice the organisation because it is so slick, well done Tiptree RR. Enjoyable route although beware the final 2 miles!!

In short: Very well organised race through lovely rural Essex, a firm favouritee
In full: A very well organised race through the lovely rural Essex countryside, a firm favourite of mine. If you want quiet country lanes & scenery then this is a race for you, if you want crowds then stick to big city events. Quick downhill start followed by largely pancake flat course with a little sting in the tail at the end but very high PB potential, well done again to Tiptree RR.

In short: Lovely local race, interesting course and potentially very fast in right conditions
In full: Enjoyable as ever and very well organised. A great local race through the countryside from a lovely village. Bit of everything this year as the off road section in the middle was very wet (British summers!!) but pace yourself right and this can be a very fast course. I will be back next year.

In short: Very well organised race with a mildly challenging route
In full: Superbly organised, ample parking, great race HQ at the village hall (yes it is a hike to the start but they do tell you that in the race pack) Race memento and handouts were excellent and unexpected for such a relatively low cost event.
Beware though, the course is not the easiest, undulating rather than hilly but with sections of gravel, a couple of switch back turns and generally quite narrow concrete paths you'll need to be on top form to run fast here.

In short: Fast rural course on quiet lanes, great organisation and facilities. A must do for local runners.
In full: Lovely quiet country route that is mainly flat with a quick downhill first mile so a very good course for attempting a PB, although the return up the hill can make for a challenging last couple of miles.

Very well organised, good facilities at race HQ including changing, warm showers, ample parking and a bonus of a great goodie bag given the modest entry fee. Ver y well done Tiptree RR!!

In short: Well organised & fast race in quiet countryside
In full: Potentially quick course with a very fast opening mile, although the course could be tricky on a windy day as it is quite open. Excellent organisation in a lovely location. Well worth the trip on a Friday evening.

In short: fast traffic free route, good organisation and value.
In full: A fast route on quiet country lanes, with 1 tricky hill near the end but plenty of PB potential. Well organised with ample parking, water stops etc and the bonus of a goody bag with one of the best race day t-shirts around.

In short: Super fast, flat course. Very well organised event.
In full: Good course on very quiet country lanes. As flat as they come, with great chance of a PB, but can be open to the elements. Easy parking, good venue with plenty of space as well as changing and showers.

In short: Well organised, good flat course but with a sting in the tail.
In full: Good new course, well marshalled, nice to see 3 water and sponge stations on a warm day. The marshalls could have gone out onto the course before the runners had formed for the start though and saved us all nestling into the bushes to let them past.

Fast start downhill, generally flat but then the sting from 8 miles a long steady incline to about 9.5 miles, but still a good PB potential route in lovely countryside.

In short: Well organised, very scenic, but not a PB course
In full: Lovely scenic route with a mix of lanes, town paths and off road parkland. A tricky course with 4 good climbs so not one for a PB but a good general atmosphere, well organised, nice t-shirt, plenty of parking, changing etc. In fact all the things you'd look for in a race.
