In short: Think this race is going to get much bigger
In full: I thought organisation was great - both start and finish but didnt try and use the baggage carts so cant comment on those. Easy parking close to start and free parking voucher was nice touch

Route itself all traffic free and pretty good support through residential areas - up and down on kerbs a bit but only if you want to cut the corners. Was more interesting than I expected - nice wide roads and pretty villages

Super quick course - 2nd fastest in uk this year so if you want a PB - this is the place to go.

Goody bag, tshirt and medal - medal is ok, tshirt so-so and bag was empty! Maybe a detail for improvement next year.

Overall, very impressed and definitely one for my calendar next year

In short: Slick, fast race - great T-Shirt - recommended
In full: Loads of parking, great facilities and hardly any queues for toilets!

Course was fine - no where near as much traffic as I though - even on 507 wasnt too bad. Enough hills to keep it interesting - make sure you know where they are and you should be on for a fast race.

Lots of club runners but excellent for beginners too.

Will do again next year - thanks NHRR

In short: Give it a go - it will make you smile
In full: Marshalling didnt really exist but lots of markers showing route - guess if you got away from the pack then good chance of losing the trail.

Not as challenging as I expected but still enjoyed the course (apart from the tunnel which was just pain!) Lake was good with a nice fire to dry you off!

Would be a great event in the summer to be followed by the beer and BBQ - even if they had have been supplied today I doubt whether I would have stuck around as cooled off pretty quick

Needs more challenging obstacles and slicker organisation - will be back next year to check it out though as nice change from your average 5k - nice medal too :-)

In short: Clockwork organisation, dont worry about the hills - seems more down than up!
In full: Great race - would definitely do again. Parking wasnt a problem (thanks Waitrose!) and great facilities at the school. Couldnt resist a cake before the race! Slow start due to having to run along narrow footpath but after first 0.5k lots of space along quiet country lanes - more scenic than I was expecting. Well worth a go.

In short: Fantastic - Just what I was looking for - Thanks H90J!
In full: For a runner looking to branch out and get up to speed eventually for a tri, I dont think this could be bettered for a first swim/run event or even for those more experienced. Fantastic organisation, really friendly and not intimidating at all. Run course not PB territory because of the uneven ground but excellent nonetheless. No toilet queues and even plenty of available showers afterward - oh, and cakes and drinks for 30p! A class act!!

In short: When I can walk again...
In full: .. I will look back on what a fantastic race this was with great organisation, weather, supporters, runners and 'undulating' scenery

My first one and found it hard at the end and especially on the grassy bit but loved sprinting over the line to just break 4hrs.

Agree with what others have said about the special touches being v welcome: own drinks at tables being ready for you; marshalls looking to see if you are ok; water being offered to prostrate runners at the end etc etc.

Thanks HRR - see you next year.

In short: Loved it!
In full: Thank you Newquay Road Runners for superb organisation of a great race in such a great spot. Even free hot showers at the end! I'm sure you will get many more runners next year once the word spreads. Thanks again.

In short: Great buzz, well organised and fantastic course. I didnt mind the ups as the downs were so fast.
