In short: Great views, big hills, hard but rewarding In full: Doing this as build up to Berlin Marathon, was going to do another 4 miles afterwards but running this hard it was never going to happen! Great goody bag - beer went down well later on too. Well worth doing. Date of review: September 7, 2010

In short: Not a bad first go, but realy just a 16 miler. In full: The course was well marked, well marshalled, and the drinks stations were really well organised and stocked. The choice of water or (very sugary) energy drinks was good.
Seemed a very long wait in pens before the race. My bladder was ok but can understand why people are bit miffed.
The course felt uphill (though analysis says not massively) and into the prevailing wind it wasnt the quickest 16 miler.
I also didnt like the strange little loop around some cones just before Elvaston park but that's being picky.
Will I be back? Long way to travel for me, if I get into London next year then it'd be Kingston Breakfast run instead.
