In short: Take a bow, organizers, that was superb!
In full: Excellent organization, marshalling and the people of Cliddesden and Ellisfield are the coolest on the planet - their support was awesome as indeed it was last year. The race didn't feel too crowded or too lonely: the limit of 2000 seems right. Plentiful water stations. Car parking, chip collection, t-shirt collection and baggage all worked like a dream. Looking forward to next year already.

In short: Heat 'n' hills
In full: An October half marathon seemed such a good idea back whenever it was that entries opened. Who could have predicted today's temperatures? Knew from my recce of the route that it needed a conservative start. Support from locals was fantastic and organization and marshalling were faultless. Well done, Basingstoke.

In short: Tough course with excellent marshalling, lots of refreshments on the way round and loads of cakes and drinks at the end.
In full: That keyring in the marathon goodie bag showing St Martha on the Hill was a really nice touch!

In short: Appreciated the compact start with parking, event centre and start all close together. Scenic route along one side of the river and back along the other side was perfect on such a sunny day.
In full: Well organized with all the facilities you could want in the leisure centre, and parking, start and finish nearby. Lovely undulating scenic route along one side of the River Avon and back along the other. Roads weren't closed to traffic but drivers were very patient. Occasionally didn't know which side of the road to run but simply followed everyone else and it all seemed to work out fine. This is definitely one of the better events.

In short: Well organized, low key series of off-road Wednesday evening races
In full: A short loop, followed by two laps of a longer loop gives you a chance to see if you can find a better line through the mud, and run a bit further up the hill the second time round. Well worth turning out for.

In short: Excellent organization as always
In full: Yateley looks after its runners so well! Red Bull was being handed out near to chip and number collection, and water, chocolate bar and chocolate-flavoured For Goodness Shakes at the finish, as well as a medal. For good measure our chip and gun times and overall position were texted to us almost as soon as we'd crossed the finish line. What more could we ask?

In short: Well-organized, scenic race with challenging course
In full: Would definitely do this again. In fact it's made me wonder why I do long runs on my own - just need to find a nice race like this every week.
