In short: Great route, weather and crowda. Ran out of gels, and no goody bag
In full: Great route, brilliant marshalls and crowds, and even the weather was good. This is a great event. However, was disappointing that they ran out of gels at the half way point (quite early on) and at the finish. Medal and Tshirt at finish were fine, but only nutrition was Haribo (not suitable for vegetarians) - and no goody bag - although early finishers got mars bars! A bit disappointing in that regard. I cycled part of the route later in the day, and was very impressed by how quickly and thoroughly bottles etc had been cleared up.

In short: Excellent as always
In full: A highlight of the year - this race is always brilliant. Great atmosphere, encouraging marshalls, smooth organisation and wonderful cakes afterwards. Toilets were a disappointment this year - they used to be really posh, but this year were just normal! - we'd been spoilt previously! Really can't fault this race though - If this race reflects the community, then I wish I lived in High Legh!

In short: Brilliant race - great organisation and lovely route
In full: Great route - nice balance of challenge and fun. Wind was tough this year, but still beat my best for this course. Organisation was brilliant, and a big thanks must go to the marshalls, who had to put up with the wind and rain in parts, but still kept smiling! Great race organised by, and supported by the local community. Thanks.

In short: Brilliant
In full: Everything about this race was perfect.
Great information, and support in the run up.
Plenty of space in start area, good facilties, quick moving loo queues, fantastic support (names on the bibs helps here too), great route, frequent well stocked drinks stations (staffed by great people) and plenty of bins (though it is a shame more of us didn't use the bins!), good atmosphere, definite pb potential and results available by the time I got home. Really can't think of anything that could be done to improve this race. Simply brilliant.

In short: Dreadfull organisation but has lots of potential.
In full: Late to start. Chaotic at start, with 10K and fun run starting together and very narrow area just after start - no chance of a PB ! Ran out of water on course and at finish. Hillier and more 'cross country' than expected (a good thing, but could have been clearer in pre race info). Lots of potential, but badly executed. Disappointing not to make use of facilities - e.g. running around the track to finish. Fun run 1/4 of price, but got goodie bag, whereas 10K only got a poor quality Tshirt. Very disappointing.

In short: Simply the best
In full: This was my second time at High Legh, and once again it was brilliant - still my favourite race of the year. Great Marshalls and organisation, wonderful atmosphere, home baked cakes at the end and a PB too.

In short: Tough hills but worth the effort, brilliant marshalls, faultless organisation, great atmosphere and amazing bluebells. The river crossing is a great finish. My first time today, but will be back next year.
