In short: Top event.
In full: Organisation, location, atmosphere and marshalling all top notch. The actual course i found too difficult to run all the way and everyone else was walking with me up the hills in the last 5 or 6 miles, even the short sharp ones. All my fellow runners, all the marshalls, all the supporters along the way massive thanks to you all, you were inspiring!!

In short: Really good flat course
In full: As above over a variety of surfaces, grass, bridleway, sand, tarmac, gravel path etc. Lovely and flat and very peaceful, managed a PB by over a minute so v pleased. Quite poorly attended it has to be said but i think thats why i enjoyed it so much!

In short: Dull and Monotonous.
In full: Great organisation, fantastic weather, naff goody bag. I love standing on the cliff top or on the beach looking out to sea, on lovely days like Sunday it can be hypnotic. But running alongside is just tedious, dull and does nothing to take your mind off the pain, oh the pain! Felt like i was getting nowhere fast... Maybe i've got the hump as had a poor time....

In short: Great views over PB roads!
In full: Just an excellent race all the way through, great course, good organisation, friendly enthusiastic stewards, even the weather was perfect!! Took 11 mins off my 10 mile PB, so v happy, only small gripe is that you get given your nice technical t shirt when you register before hand so those people turning up ready to run all of a sudden have to find somewhere to put the same t shirt that everyone else has, unless you wear it or hold it during the race, not ideal! I really enjoyed the race though and recommend it to anyone and everyone!!

In short: Inoffensive and pleasant
In full: The race and route are all fine, some good hills and decent scenery out of town and good enough times too considering not much of it is flat. The start on the slippy quagmire of a waterlogged field seemed unnecessary as did the gravel at the finish. Only a small percentage of the marshalls were vocally enthusiastic and encouraging, nice medal though!!

In full: Massive shame about the ice having to shorten the race come the Sunday morning but it couldn't be helped. The scenery was just fantastic and really helped to divert the hilly pain!! Marshals all friendly and enthusiastic, runners even more so, by far the friendliest event i've had the pleasure of being part of. I absolutely feel the need to do the full course so will def be there next time!!

In short: Fantastic Location
In full: Another cracking winters day for running apart from the pockets of ice, its a tricky terrain course anyway so its not like we were losing much time-wise. ~Marshals were largely quiet apart from 1 chirpy girl around 4/9k, distribution of water and medals etc very poor. Scenery just fantastic and nothing could keep me away, did 6 mins quicker than last year too!

In short: My half marathon cherry gone.....
In full: This will always hold a special place for me as was my first half (1hr 46), thoroughly enjoyed although was hillier than expected. Amazing scenery, brilliant marshalls and general organisation, medal, yay, but nowt else....? Shocking weather added to the fun, see you next year!!

In short: Soaked on the Start line again!
In full: Excellent organisation and pretty good mainly flat fast course with the 1 abrupt ascent around halfway, definite PB potential despite the first couple of km being fairly crammed in and difficult to overtake should the urge take you! We all got absolutely drenched in under a minute on the start line it totally whaled it down!! Marshalls were all fantastic and encouraging, goody bag was reasonable, no medal booooooo, good to finish in a stadium, well done organisers, would highly recommend!

In short: Weather made this challenging!
In full: Fairly quick paced going out and much harder coming back with the strong wind and a long gentle ascent along the cliff top on way back. Marshalling was friendly and supportive, didnt see many markers though there is a good chance they would have blown away as the wind really was gale force. Nice goody bag with a technical tee but no medal, boooo! I did notice that they had deflated the inflatable start/finish arch and turned the generator off before the last runners had crossed the finish line, in fact the last finishers seemed to go almost un-noticed instead of getting a nice big cheer. Good to have a live band on in the hall afterwards and in general everyone was smiley and helpful with a nice mix of runners!
