In short: Very scenic, great atmosphere. Enthusiastic marshals! In full: For an inaugural event the organisation was superb. Great briefing at the start. The atmosphere was brilliant, everyone was really friendly and supportive. The route was very picturesque throughout and also well marked and easy to follow. I loved the radio desk at 9.75km, that was a nice touch. It is nice for Marlow to now have a 10K to go with the other races in the town. I would highly recommend this event to others. In short: Brutal hills but stunning scenery and fantastic organisation. In full: The organisation of this event was seemless. The scenery and location were beautiful. The race description said 'hilly' and it didn't disappoint! The hills were brutal, especially the 2 in the second half of the race. I absolutely loved it though, really challenging and interesting route! My friend did the 5K and she really loved that as well, despite not having run that much in the past. She also commented on how friendly everyone was, so beginners should not be put off by the hilly profile. My son and his friend did the children's race and they both enjoyed that. The voucher in the goody bag for free entrance to the West Wycombe caves was an added bonus and made for a nice afternoon in the local area. All in all a brilliant first event. I will be back next year! Date of review: June 19, 2011

In short: Hills and mud and more hills and mud! Great! In full: You would never know that this was the first ever Rugged Radnage 10K. The organisation was superb, better than many of thie bigger races I have been to. Being fairly local, I knew it was going to be hilly (and muddy) and it didn't disappoint! The last uphill was particularly cruel! This was never going to be a PB course, in fact it was almost a PW for me (not quite!)but that doesn't take away the fact that it was a cracking race. I will be back next year! Date of review: November 21, 2010

In short: Flat! But, it can be very hot in August! In full: I was really looking forward to running a flat race as I live in a very hilly part of the country and flat events are a rare occurance for me. The course was a pretty good mix of round the town and out in the countryside. The support round most of the course was excellent. A bit patchy round some of the housing estate, but soon picked up again. The heat was a killer though, I know August can be hot, but considering we have had pretty cool weather recently, one more day of overcast would have been nice :-). Lots and lots of water stations, which really was needed. A BIG thank you to the St Johns who gave me some dioralyte at mile 8. My legs were cramping really badly due to salt loss, and I don't think I would have made it round without that help. I finished alot slower than I was expecting, but considering I really struggle in the heat I am still pretty pleased. My young son and his friend did the the fun run and had a great time. It would be nice to have a medal and some sort of food at the end would have been good too. Overall a very good race and I would do it again. Would be a good PB potential course on a cool day! In short: Great Medal and T-shirt - need bigger Mars bars In full: Good race. This was my 2nd year and I managed to knock a whopping 10 minutes off my time from last year. Good marshals and organisation. Great medal and t-shirt. Only gripe is why do people insist on lining up in a section that is WAY too fast for them, it is just annoying for those of us who lined up in the correct section for our finish time. I actually ran more than 5 miles as I had to do SO much going around people, some of whom were 3 across. Date of review: May 10, 2010

In short: Best race I have done this year. Loved it! In full: Yes it was hilly, but I have been practising! The atmosphere was fantastic, the marshals were so supportive and friendly. Also, the other runners were really great too. The mixed terrain was an absolute joy, and the last hill up to the finish was a struggle, but there is no way you can let the supporters see you walking is there? The cakes at the end were excellent and a real bargain. We only decided to do this race on Friday last week (the hilly bit had been putting us off!) and I am so glad that we did as it was a really, really good event. Will be back next year! If you are thinking of doing this race then don't let the hills put you off at all! Date of review: October 18, 2009

In short: The hill is big and the last 3 miles are long! In full: This was my first half marathon and I didn't really know what to expect. I live in Wycombe so the 'big' hill was not a shock to me (that much!) but I was suprised by how undulating the rest of the course was. The support round Flackwell Heath was amazing. There was plenty of water and sponges which was good. The goody bag was excellent. Only real grip was that it would have been nice if the Loudwater residents had moved their wheelie bins off of the pavement as us slower runners have to run on those pavements. I nearly fell off the kerb at one point as it was so narrow with the bins in the way! And, how come the last 3 miles feels like about 6? Date of review: July 19, 2009
