In short: HOT HOT HOT but fabulous support esp in Barton with the water hoses - THANK YOU!
In full: This is a great, but tough, half marathon. This was my second time and both were boiling hot but due to poor training and injury I was 14 mins slower this year. The course is fantastic - even the bad stretches dont last too long. Amazing support again from Barton - thank you.

In short: Great new race - definitely worth it!!
In full: Yes there were some bad points, but show me a race where there aren't any! This is a brand new race and the great bits far far outweigh the bad bits in my opinion. So....
Good: Great medal, fab tshirt - I plan to wear mine all the time not just for training so I am pleased it isnt a technical one. Long sleeved makes a nice change. Fantastic goody bag - I ate most of the contents pretty quickly. Excellent km marker signs. Excellent water/drinks stations - esp the vaseline bit! Good route (yes I have done prettier runs) but perfect terrain and profile for a long marathon build up. Good location in the country. I saw runners from wetherby to sussex. Transport and parking - faultless.
Bad: TOILETS!!!!!! WE NEED MORE PLEASE. I wasted 5 mins on a queue for the loo, my sister wasted 8 mins. Would also prefer a speedier bag collection area. Bless the cadets for trying and I certainly appreciated their dedication but i was a bit chilly waiting for 25mins for my bag!!
All in all - fantastic though. Will be back!

In short: Hot, hot, hot! Fantastic race with excellent support - make sure you train though!
In full: It really was a hot day and no chance of a PB! Challenging route given the weather but the beautiful views from the bridge and the fantastic support all the way around made it a very very enjoyable race. Definitely one for next year!

In short: Totally biased as I live practically on the course but fantastic challenging race.
In full: Break the course up in to thirds and the first bit is tough - a slow steady incline for the majority of the 4miles. next part is fine but still includes a hill, and the last 4 you will fly. beware the last mile though - it is tough when you have been running like crazy over the last few miles. Great support

In short: Lovely day and very challenging run but great fun!! Dont bother with your garmin!
In full: I really enjoyed this race - not one I would have picked myself but as it is a very different challenge for someone addicted to road races but definitely felt as though it was good for me! Gorgeous sunshine helped the atmosphere and everyone seemed to be in it for the enjoyment rather than the competition as such. Tough race with a gruelling last 2km up hill through the woods. Well organised and I loved the little kid playing his drum kit as you walked to the start - very NY marathon!! Thank you for making everyone smile! Be warned we only just made the start it really is a 10min walk from mcdonalds car park!

In short: Absolutely gorgeous day topped off with a fab pb!! I loved it.
In full: The weather was fabulous and the course was fast. Although i didn't run last year I had read the comments on forum and the reviews on RW, and I certainly think the organisers had taken on board people's concerns. Obviously people are divided on the cups vs bottle at the water station and I would maybe prefer a cup but seriously not a big deal. It was very busy which also meant a lot of weaving in and out - again not really a big deal and nice to see that over 700 extra runners participated compared to last year. Very enjoyable day out!! (My mega PB has probably added to my enjoyment too!!)

In short: Battersea was lovely, the course was flat. But the organisation was dreadful and not a single spectator was clapping/cheering during the entire race.
