In short: An undiscovered gem In full: Excellent off road race with stunning scenery. Very well marshalled compared to last year and a well marked course. Glad to see that the flour on the ground had been replaced by signs! Special mention to the marshals who were cheery, helpful and supportive. For such a stunning, challenging race am surprised that the entry isn't larger. Will be back next year to tackle those hills! Date of review: October 16, 2011

In short: Average race, would prefer a medal to a mug In full: Well organised and a flat course. Far too congested for the first 3/4 miles, think for a race of this size there should be staggered start times to avoid all the overtaking in the road. Loads of well manned water stations and great marshals. Ultimately a pretty boring course and not great value for money. Date of review: March 27, 2011

In short: Better name than race In full: Registration was akin to immigration at a third world airport when I was asked for ID and quizzed on date of birth. No one apart from the front row of runners could hear the briefing - so please use some of the profits to buy a new loudhailer. Agree with other comments on lack of water, loose dog, runners with iPods etc. However, marshalls were very friendly and plastic cup of water at the end was very welcome. Good race but if you've done Mayhill Massacre, TurboX or Hellrunner you will be disappointed. Date of review: January 23, 2011
