In short: Coule be so much better
In full: Glad i did it but wouldn't do it again, the course is challenging, it may be quick but it sure is undulating. Start was great, but signage on the route was poor and small and the finish area was shockingly bad.
The weather on the day was horrific at points and perfect at others but theres nothing you can do about that, the route just feels a bit amateurish and tagging bits on to make up the distance - is exactly what it felt like.
I didn't hate it, i just didn't like it that much either. Its got a lot of potential but its not reached it yet.....and a fox chewed through the cable for the big screen?? Pull the other one organisers!!

In short: A challenging run in the 'shires
In full: First time at Fleet but i know the area and had driven the course, great set up at the start, minor whinge is people could go where they wanted and there were way too many slower peopleup front. Course was challenging with lots of hills and undulations but nothing too knackering. Route was great with a couple of loops through the town and then out into the surrounding countryside which i love, finish was fab and just generally a really nice quick race. Good medal as well and the marshalls and supporters were fabulous. Seemed to have a lot of marshals on the way so thanks to them, always nice to see their smiling faces. Good for a challenging run but also good for novices as there was a nice mix of people. Lots of pbs this year (and for me), perfect running weather, just an ace way to spend a morning!

In short: Up hill and down dale - great fun!
In full: This was my first trail run and what a run it was, you could opt to do the long or short duathlon or trail run, I opted for the 12K run, two loops of off road magic through the Wasing estate, field, woods, tracks, mud, grass and lots of killer hills.
The field was quite small but that wasn't off putting, marshalls were friendly and the facilites (Food van, portaloos) were great for such a small event.
Was genuinely really good fun, the course was hard work but worth the hamstring ache I have today, loved the hills and jumping down through the woods after one particularly long hill up a field was really good fun.
Would definatley do this again, the course was varied and fun, the marshalls were encouraging and very well organised and the field was just the right size.
....wish they'd get the results up on the website though ;)

In short: Too expensive but fast
In full: Organisation in the morning was ok, no issues and bag tents were very quick. Start was rammed but to be expected. Course was ok, quite dull in places but its quite quick so it changes often. Crowds quite poor in a lot of places - often heard runners about me asking the crowds to "make some noise" lots of people just standing around. Could be made into a bigger event for the local community perhaps?
Is also VERY expensive - not good value for money considering its just off the cost of a full mara (LM eg).
Possibilty for a great time due to the course - 3 mild hills and the rest flat but not sure I would do again...?
