In short: Great organisation, friendly people and a couple of long slow hills!!
In full: First time doing this and is a harder course than the finchley 20. Mostly road with 2 miles of towpath at the start and about 1/2 mile at the end. Mostly fairly flat with a couple of long slow hills rather than short and steep and fair share of downhills as well. I wouldnt say it would be good for a pb if you were racing this 20 miler!!

In short: Good marathon prep..Fair mix of up and downhills
In full: Good 4 lap race around Ruislip and Ickenham. Time seemed to go quickly and the 4 lap route helps with pacing and knowing whats coming next. 1st lap was new, 2nd and 3rd laps were dull and 4th you knew it was the last!!

In short: Hilly race but nice downhills
In full: Greatrace. Was my first Watford half and managed to get my pb down by to 1'37. Only thing that could do with tidying up is the baggage organisation. Also i'm sure people would be happy to pay an extra couple of quid for a medal. Those Hills definately deserve a medal!! What goes up must go down so I think you more than make up for the hills on the downhill! Especially if you have a nice tailwind!!

In short: Great race , big queues for bagge drop off
In full: was my first hm and was a great race. Big queues at the bag drop off with lots of volunteers just standing there not doing a lot. found it a bit of expensive race for a t-shirt i probably wouldnt wear again and a lump of wood for a medal!!
