In short: Superb organisation and a good course. In full: I can have nothing but praise for the smooth organisation and the mainly traffic free course. Great goody bag as well. They even laid on lovely weather for us. I ran a PB beating a time that I set more than 1o years ago, smashing my MV40 best by 4mins 15s. It does undulate a little more than expected and pacing was eratic(6:33 for the 4th mile and 8:20 for the 9th)but it is a good course. I would recommend it to anyone. Well done FVS! In short: A great run that should become a calander regular. In full: I really enjoyed this race and did a PB. The last km may have been long as it was my slowest and I was moving well at this stage and had a great friendly battle with two runners on the track finish. Facilities excellent. Medal nice. Scenery variable from the awful industrial fly tipping landscape, through suburban streets to a lovely riverside section. Flat, fast and well organised. I loved this race. I think it will grow! In short: Excellent fast course and great support! In full: I started in the sub 45 pen and had little trouble with congestion, just a few runners darting across for position. The wind out by the Great Ouse made that the slowest Km. In town the crowds were fantastic and hearing my club name shouted gave me a lift. I can't understand the problem with passing the finish with 2k to go. I was spurred on, knowing it was time to get ready for the kick and I passed loads of runners in that last 2k. This was the shortest distance I have ever raced and it was a good effort to come in sub-45. So I am pleased Date of review: May 16, 2007
