In short: i wanted a personal best!!!!
In full: I love my running and after not getting into london i was so excited about being able to do edinburgh, and being told that it had the best potential for a pb made it seem even more exciting. I was hoping for just under 4 hours, and began the race really well, i was running really well and under my pace time. Then came the gravel path and i was really feeling it but was determined to carry on the pace i was doing and knowing there was awater station around the corner, then i nget there and there is no water. We are told they are waiting for a delievery of water from the next stop. Did they expect you to stop and wait!!! So with my mouth completely dry and my head spinning i tried to carry on. But couldnt run for more than about 100m at a time. I found myself running and crying and walking then i threw up and nearly fainted and then thankfully a lady came out of her house and gave me water. I then managed to carry on while trying to find bits of water on the side of the road. I know i should have probably stopped but after spending money i didnt have to get there i wanted that bloody medal!!!! I finally got to the end and then threw up again and had no one come and ask me if i was ok. and then had to stand in some kind of que to get my goody bag. With everyones body heat, with the heat to it was so unbearable. Anyway, i'll stop moaning now, but i was just so let down. I know the weather was the organisers fault but they should have been prepared!!!!!

In short: gade valley harriers do it again!!!
In full: The run was again brilliant, and better than races where i have spent well over £5 to do. The marshalls are excellent. The miles are set out well and clearly, and just knowing you have the jelly baby stop and a hill to run down (even though i think running down that hill was harder than bull beggars!!) It was great to get a drink of orange outside the cricket club as the que for cake was long and i even gave up and walked home!!! I was looking forward to that cake!!!! But the run was so great it was worth missing out on the cake!!! see you next year
