In short: Tough but fantastic! In full: First time I've run this race. It is pretty tough if you're not a fan of hills, especially in the last few miles of a marathon. But it was fantastic in terms of organisation, friendliness, scenery and marshalling. These guys know what they're doing! My only slight criticism was that I entered online but didn't get any emails from them to confirm my entry...had to ring to check i was entered. But other than that, top notch! Bargain entry for a marathon (£20) and the goodie bag was brilliant! Not many races give you a hoodie when you finish :-) I'll definately be back to tackle those hills again next year! In short: Fast course, but terrible start In full: Nice race, really well marshalled, good cakes at the end. Start was insane though, with the bottle neck out on to the road. seriously reduces pb potential. Didn't hear the marshalls calling to the start, so start itself was also a bit of a shock. Could also do with a water station that isn't at the top of a hill. Date of review: August 24, 2011
