In short: Nothing beats running past stationary traffic!
In full: Well organised, a mix of all sorts of runners. Great finishing line and refreshments there. Running over the iconic Runcorn-Widnes bridge is just brilliant. A great way to start Easter Sunday, using up enough calories for a guilt-free Easter egg!

In short: Absolute cracker of a race
In full: As if runnning up and down for 26.2 miles wasn't enough, you get some horizontal rain and in-your-face wind thrown in as well.
But you don't feel any pain as you run by 3 different lakes, alongside a steam railway line and through some picture postcard views.
The local people come out to cheer you on, the water stations are plentifully stocked, and the other runners love to have a chat as you run alongside each other.
Brilliant!

In short: Not even the rain could spoil this run! Great organisation and support.
In full: Well marshalled, great views, and a real challenge. The best thing was the support from the locals - every village or hamlet had people out encouraging us. You can't beat running between a lake and a steam train! I would heartily recommend this race and I am determined to get a set of 6 finishing coasters!

In short: Fantastic potential, let down by off road sections and start/finish area.
In full: Start/finish area terrible in the wet - changing tent plonked in the middle of an athletics field - and also off road sections (cinder path) between miles 8 & 10 don't work in the wet. Otherwise a great mix of hills and scenery. Watch out for the invisible energy gel stations though!
