In short: The best half in the south west by a fat margin! In full: Congrats to the organisers, Dr Rob and all involved. A fantastic race, even with the bonus element... 13.7 miles and 1700 ft ascent by my watch, but on a glorious day. I heard someone winge about the extra distance at the end, perhaps they stick to the bath flat half in future! Will be back! Date of review: November 27, 2011
In short: Great race, but needs much better organisation. In full: 10k run, more like 7k. Very hilly course all round, but that not a bad thing just a bit more challenging!! Scenery fantastic. No toilets, small transition area, no number for me (problem with my runners world entry...), no t shirt, goody bag just contained a bottle of lucozade. Lots of areas to improve on, but no doubt will be better next year!! Maybe I'll be back... Date of review: September 4, 2011
In short: 3rd year running and still a challenge!! In full: Every year the weather has been glorious. This year if anything a bit too hot! No doubt a tough race, and still has the (slight) edge over the Dursley Dozen.
Parking a bit of a nightmare this year, after having the convenience of the field at least for the last 2 years. Apparently due to a grumpy landlord at the pub adjoining it (perhaps a pub boycott next year if he does it again?)
This is a great intro to tougher multi terrain running and hills, very difficult to beat... Date of review: April 18, 2011
