In short: Brilliant marshals and well organised
In full: As everyone has said it was unusually warm for March but then being British we'd complain if it had been chucking it down!! I personally would also prefer bottled water - even smaller 250ml bottles - as I can't run and drink from cups and it did cost me valuable time but then at least I got some water and didn't pass out...

The plentiful, cheery marshals were just superb! Big thank you to all of them for their encouragement and support around the entire course, it really did help.

The course was slightly more "undulating" than I'd anticipated with one incline in the latter stages that nearly killed me off but I did think it was nice course to run.

Bit of a mare trying to get out of the rugby club at the end but there were 4,000 runners in a predominantly residential area trying to escape at the same time.

Overall, well done to Wilmslow Running Club for organising a great event and I'll be back next year!

In short: Love the course but start and finish organisation / facilities could be better
In full: Second time I've done the Liverpool Half and the wind was far kinder this year than last! Queuing for loo's at beginning was farcicle and meant I didn't cross a very congested start line until about 9:45. I agree with everyone else who has mentioned staggered starting has got to be the way forward if the race is hoping to continue with 7,000 or so runners. That said I really enjoyed the race itself, pleased with my chip time. Queuing at the end to get through the goody bag tent though wasn't good as couldn't move to stretch my knackered legs! And compared to last years really nice white long sleeve T-Shirts, this years luminous orange ones were disappointing, not helped by the time I finished after my delayed start meant there were only XL's left and no bananas :-( These are all just niggles really though as the course and the run itself are great, hope to see some organisational improvements when I return next year.

In short: Great race spoilt only by bottle neck going up the hill for first 2k
In full: Really enjoyed the race but could be greatly improved and remove much frustration by having a staggered start to relieve the bottle neck on the first 2k incline. Single file path, congested by people afraid of a little mud or a bramble briar, slowed to a walk in places which could be reduced by staggering the start. However would still wholly recommend it and will def do it again next year.
