In short: very hilly
In full: great off road race, with excellent and enthusiastic marshalls. These are some of the steepest hills I have encountered, but the pay-off is the great views you get for a large part of the race. Would definitely do it again next year.

In short: Traffic free route, but parking a nightmare
In full: Pros: Its great that the route is entirely free of traffic. Also the marshalls and public support along the course was excellent.

Cons: I think the race has gotten too big for the organisers - i queued in traffic for 35 mins through the village in order to park which i have never had to do at a race before. As a result despite being there 50 mins before the start I did not get to warm up. I really felt the lack of a warm up and noticed many others needing to stretch out along the route as well. Also the roads at the start are congested with the sheer amount of runners.

I think this has the potential to be a good race with about 20% less participants. Unfortunately on balance I will not be back next year.

In short: Mud glorious mud.
In full: This was my first turbo x - I have to say i didnt expect as much mud and boggy areas so early on, however, I still really enjoyed the whole thing. Great atmosphere and a really enjoyable challenge. I would certainly give it another go next year...

In short: Well organisaed race, with testing hills
In full: Quite a challenging race with the hills and the warm sunshine, but overall it was really enjoyable. Cant find any fault with the organisation at all and a wide range of runners of varying abilities made it an inclusive atmosphere. Would reccommend it next year.

In short: This was my first 10k and i would definitely recommend the event to beginners. nice and flat, plus great scenery. The organisation was pretty good too - as was the chocolate at the end.
