In short: Interesting urban course, very well organised & great marshals. Pavement running provided a novel pdestrian hazard!
In full: As I am recovering from calf & ankle injuries & my daughter was running her first half marathon, this seemed a good run which wouldn't be too challenging. It is quite up and down, but there are no killer hills, though running on pavements with sometimes rather unhelpful pedestrians was a novel experience. However, the organisation was brilliant & every single marshal helpful, friendly & encouraging - a special thanks to the Tiger. And a generous goody bag too!

In short: Great run in foul conditions,well-organised - fab marshals!
In full: The course was slightly reorganised because of the work on Dea; seafront. But it remains a flat course with fantastic views & real PB potential. Howveer, a gale-forec wind from the south (in our faces for half the race) with rain, sleet and stinging hailstones meant it was a struggle. The marshals having to stand through it al & still be encouraging & helpful were amazing. The organisation was good - pity they couldn't organise the weather. But it made it the sort of race that will linger long in the memory (not leat for my daughter Kat who was running her first race)

In short: Quite challenging scenic course, exceptional organisation
In full: I know the course well as it comprises much of runs I do in training. It's very pretty, but with 5 hills - weighted more towards the latter part of the race, it's quite challenging, with some muddy patches & tree roots to spice the track up a bit. It's the best organised & marshalled event I've ever run in - even tree roots & muddy patches were fore-warned. Enthusiastic & helpful marshals at every point where someone might take a wrong turn. I can completely see why it gets such high ratings.

In short: well-organised race, flat, good for a PB
In full: As a vet with bad nakles & a cold I was a bit doubtful abpout turning up, but this was a well-organised race, with friendly marshals & a nice flat course. I feared I might find 3 laps boring, but it didn't feel like that. I got my best 10K time since June 2010 & got a nice goody bag as well

In short: Quite a challenging course through beautiful scenery.
In full: Inaugural race -which showed a bit with a delayed start & a couple of places where the signs were a little ambiguous. I had to help direct some runners who semmed to have got very lost. Very friendly. This is quite a challenging course, with virtually no flat bits & some quite gruelling hills (certainly for someone of my age - 62) & it is a genuine trail course with single track paths through forest with tree roots, etc as well as a few muddy bits. It could be a lot muddier if there had been more rain, I reckon. At my age,I'm trying to widen my experience by doing as many different races as I can - but I'd certainly think about doing this one again.

In short: Great views, up&down course, moderate organisation
In full: Any race in Greenwich Park has wonderful views and an up-and-down course. Because sections of the course overlapped, we were sometimes constarined to run single file, which could affect one's rhythm. The water stations were not well thought out - at 2k & 4k - and there weren't enough helpers. I would only have got water if I'd been prepared to stop & wait. A friendly stmosphere & very much a young persons' race.

In short: Pretty horrendous conditions, not least the surface water & a killing hill, but great organisation & friendly, encouraging marshalls. Not for a PB thought
In full: Extremely well organised, with lots of friendly, encouraging marshalls. It's quite a challenging course, with a long steep hill at around mile 7. The conditions were poor - heavy rain & strong winds, with a lot of surface water, including water covering the road several inches deep in places. When I ran the long hill, I felt I was running up a stream. I doubt it would be PB friendly, just because it's so undulating. Most cars behaved themselves, butpedestrians occasionally got in the way. At my age (61) and as a late starter to running (3 years ago), I'm realy looking for variety rather than repeating races. It's certainly one i would do again - but I haven't done enough races to rate it as an all time favourite. Though I feel 61 now, I know T'll feel a lot younger for the experience.
