NEGATIVES
Course will need to change for larger field - also stated by the organisers
Could do with energy drinks

Well done to the organisers and a thank you to the marshals. I am looking forward to their 2011 marathon; it's a "Great Welsh" alternative for a marathon in the spring instead of London or Brighton.

In short: Not many 10k's could top this one
In full:
I know as runners we are sometimes unfairly critical of races we attend especially if we do not run a PB. But surely no-one can be critical of possibly one of the best 10k events in the UK.

Right at the start of the entry process being contacted by the organisers welcoming and thanking me for entering the event, sent a race pack containing my timing chip, simplistic easy to understand event instructions and map. Finding the event headquarters easily and having FREE parking only 20 meters from the race start. No fussy registration process. Kids races to watch as a prelude to the main 10k. Samba dancers creating additional FREE entertainment. FREE massage, FREE, children's entertainment. There was a high profile St John and police presence. Excellent catering services and super clean facilities. Plenty of toilets. I have not experienced many better race atmospheres elsewhere and everything happening on-time. Glorious views over the estuary. Perfect running conditions over a mildly challenging, safe traffic free course. More than enough water in just the right size bottles (with sports caps). Fantastic spectator support. Great untroubled race finish with a superb memento and even someone to cut off my timing chip. Again a trouble free departure from the car-park with the race results up on their website by the time I got home. All the above for just £10; other race organisers try, beating that.

This is a QUALITY event. Well done and a big thank you to the marshals and the two Llanelli lads who organised it; again with clockwork precision; you are a credit to the running world. I am looking forward to the Llanelli Half Marathon in March next year.
