In short: Great venue for PB and also spectators
In full: I only rated the scenery as dull as it really is, after all, just circuits of a racing track. But get your music on, your head down, and focus and you can have a great race. The circuit loops past the same point several times os is great for spectators but at the same time I didn't feel like I was going round in circles. Where you thought the end would be, is where the end was so you didn't get that awful feeling of dread a la British 10k of going pointlessly up and down just to make up the mileage. The route was well signed, the marshalls were encouraging, and the Goodness Shake on the finish was well worth the effort :-) It's the small things... A hot chocolate in the cafe and a peruse around some v expensive cars afterwards made us want to hang around for a bit more of a morning out. Fabulous!

In short: Second Bushy Park 10k, and I will be back in October!
In full: I love this run. The park is beautiful, the price is great, the organisation is basic but well done (still got the 2k marker in the wrong place at 1.3k and the stretch to the finish line still confused me as it changes on the final lap and the marshalls are not clear...). But overall, tip top and will be back again for the next one!

In short: Brilliantly festive!
In full: Great organisation and such a fab way to raise money for a good cause. Santa suit - one size fits all - was hilarious if not a bit sweaty... But overall, really good atmosphere and wicked fun!

In short: Very friendly and enjoyable 10k
In full: First time I have run in Bushy Park and I will be back! Small number of people, but quickly got left at the back on a 01:03:30 PB! Still felt like I was running a race though - and thoroughly enjoyed! It is challenging as there is not the support on route of the big races, although scenery helps you focus!

In short: Already signed up for next year... Excellent organisation and brilliant and encouraging atmosphere
In full: As someone who is new to running and racing, this was brilliant. Definite scope to get through and get a good pace, brilliantly organised, great atmosphere, decent goodie bag, and what a sense of achievement!

In short: Great fun run, but poor organisation
In full: 4 miles? try 5 for starters. And markers on each mile? Even the stewards did not seem to know which distance they were at. Otherwise, a friendly jaunt around the capital through great scenery (although some up and down stairs and through underpasses... not great on the knees, but brilliant for whooping and egging each other on). Great fun to see the tourist reaction and sure our red faces are in many a take home pic. It was not obvious that Barnardo's was the charity for the occasion, with balloons and costume pointing more obviously at a PR stunt for Sister Act the musical. More should have been shown for Barnardo's. All that said, great way to spend my Sunday and my first organised event in a long long time - and even the furthest I have done! And still managed to run the whole way at a 9.55 average. YAY!
