In short: Running round the Grand Prix circuit is different!
In full: Great organization and a friendly welcome. My first time running round the Grand Prix circuit. Wide, traffic free(!), flattish, so potentially very fast, although exposed to the wind. A big thank you to the marshalls and others involved in the organization, which was buttery-smooth.

In short: Fast, flat and excellent organization. What more could you want!
In full: I always look forward to this race, the the folk at Alchester didn't disappoint once again. Faultless organization and an army of enthusiastic marshalls make this one of the most enjoyable events of the year. And this is despite the dreaded headwinds on the airfield!

In short: Well organised race, excellent marshals, could not be flatter!
In full: The Great Run people know how to organise a big race like this, everything worked well. Great support around the course from the public, and from the excellent marshals, who didn't have a nice day for standing around. If you've done a race flatter than this it must have been on a track, but the last 2miles is exposed to the wind. One of my pet peeves is groups of people running slowly in a line across the road, and there was plenty of this, along with people walking inside 2 miles. Not sure what the organisers could do about that, though. The experience is spoiled a bit by the awful traffic jams getting away after the run.

In short: Great atmosphere, well-organized, very enjoyable race
In full: Well done to the race organizers for making the best of what must have been very difficult conditions given the state of the school playing fields. A very enjoyable run, lots of support along the way, especially from the excellent marshalls.

In short: Fun, well-organized race
In full: A new route (at least to me - I didn't do it last year). As flat as ever, and takes you through the historic centre of the city, but much more of the course in The Parks, which isn't so good. Still, very well organized, plenty of support around the route and Christine Hamilton acting as starter gave you an incentive to make a fast start! Special thanks to the excellent marhalls, who did a first-rate job.

In short: Lovely countryside, perfect weather, clockwork organization. Perfect race!
In full: First time I've done this race, and I'll definitely be back. Flat, scenic route along quiet country lanes. The excellent organizers even managed to lay on perfect weather. Particular thanks to the many excellent marshalls and the enthusiastic helpers at the water stations.

In short: A flat route and silky-smooth organization
In full: The decision to delay the start by 30 minutes was very wise, and paid off as the roads were virtually ice free. Still, it must have been very cold for the marshalls standing around all that time, so an especially big thank you to them and to the whole organizational team who make this race such a pleasure to run.

In short: Icy temperatures but a warm welcome
In full: Even more kudos than usual to the marshalls who remained friendly and encouraging despite having to stand around in sub-zero temperatures. Great organization makes for a very enjoyable race.

In short: Beautiful scenery, very well marshalled, tough hills!
In full: Just as well as the race goes through some lovely villages and countryside as that distracts you from the pain of climbing those hills! The excellent and very encouraging marshalls played their part too. A very enjoyable race; I'll definitely be back.
