In short: Fast flat no frills
In full: A few pinch points running in to runners coming the other way. Apart from that basics missing .... Drink station coming up... Really......

In short: Faultless....
In full: Nothing else to say really, and would definitely not call it hilly, undulating yes, but fair... Equally so... Put that together with the faultless organisation of barton and district ac and it has to be THE must do race in lincs/yorks racing calendar for years to come... Well done everyone..

In short: Loved it....will be back
In full: First time at the new forest and have to say loved it, yes the weather was shocking but the support from the Marshall's and supporters first class.. They deserved a medal in that weather.... Course wise I thought it was quite quick, hills yes, but enough downhill to recover any time lost... My only gripe re the course is it would be good to have 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m marks as had I known where the finish was I would have opened up earlier....the finish was well organised but why oh why was the catering van on the opposite side of the finish, surely it's possible to have the tea inside in future! Other than that top notch and highly recommended...

In short: Nice low key fast friendly race
In full: No complaints at all, entered on the day, quick and easy to do. Race quick... Perhaps caught a few of us out asim not the only one who died over the last two miles. Countryside rather uninspiring and little support on the course. Marshals generally very supportive and helpful, although one or two on the last bit seemed rather more interested to talk to others rather than shouting encouragement. Great tech t shirt and nice medal. Jaffa cakes a nice touch too, although the 1/3 banana was slightly pointless unless you got three of them.... All in all however a very pleasant mornings work and a pb to boot

In short: superbly organised, friendly and great value for money
In full: My first attempt at this race and wasnt disappointed at all.. The organisation was smooth, hq was more than adequate bar the usual backlog for the loos... perhaps the organisers could also advertise the other toilets near the start? The race itself was very well organised, plenty of good enthusiastic marshalls, well operated drinks stations and a fair smattering of spectators.. The course was fairly tame in the first half but the drag up the ramp at the cliff was a killer for me, still i cracked on and finished sub 2.30 so really happy with that - will be back if i am barmy enough to do another marathon next year!

In short: Start to finish fine, the rest......?
In full: Enjoyed the day and found the course very fair, what goes up, comes back down again... Conditions also good, no doubt helping the number of pb's. I have to say though that the rest of the event was distinctly average, the usual log jam collecting chIps and numbers, too many runners for the venue, overflowing changing rooms with water... A pretty average medal too so not great value for money, from gun to funnel it ticked the boxes however and will do it again just for the course, with no expectations of anything else.
