In short: Shambolic but local
In full: This is the 4th year I've done this race as it's on my doorstep, but probably more shambolic than previous years, as the queue was huge. I doubt anything will change, but as it's local and my usual running route I'll continue to do it. I wish they'd sort their organisation out, have some more cheery marshalls (apart from Mr 5/8km marshall who was very chirpy!)and have water at the end!

In short: A Friendly Local Race, But Could Do Better!
In full: This is the third year I've done this race as it's local for me. The marshalls are always miserable (apart from the one guy at the 2/5/8km mark this year)and don't really do anything or even point people in the right direction. I agree its confusing if you don't know the route as there isn't a map and the marshalls are no more than people standing (with headphones, on the phone etc) in yellow jackets. Would have rather had a bottle of water at the end as it was a hot and humid day rather than a t-shirt. A friendly atmosphere and it's only £10. But more water and some encouragement from the marshalls would make all the difference.

In short: Good, low-key fun run
In full: A small local race around my usual running route. A medal, t-shirt and carb gel for runners which is pretty good for the £10 entry fee. The course isn't particulary clear, although I've done it before so it wasn't a problem. My only gripe were the miserable marshalls, apart from the race organiser who was cheering people near the finish line, the rest were just grumpy, not a cheer or a clap from any of them and they looked pained to be there! One was one his mobile most of the time and another was holding up the wrong distance marker (5k instead of 2k). Useless!

In short: Good, but muddy fun run
In full: Was on course to beat my 2009 PB, but the final field was a complete bog and more Glastonbury than fun run. A shame as all the time I'd made counted for nothing as I spent most of the time trying not to slip into the mud! Good race overall, well organised, plenty of toilets and a friendly atmosphere

In short: Public Transport Woes
In full: I only live about four miles away, but the journey took an hour and 10 minutes on the slowest bus on earth, meaning I missed the start of the race. Gutted! The park looked lovely & there was low key friendly atmosphere there. I'd definately do it again, but perhaps use another transport method to get there...

In short: A good race in a lovely park
In full: Lovely park and course along tree lined route, loved the steel band and good atmosphere. Ran out of water, I managed to get one very small bottle at the end, not very good, especially given the weather, not enough toilets and the start could have been earlier as it was a very hot day. Good PB potential though.

In short: Good, local, friendly run
In full: A good low key event, with laid back organisation. Enjoyed the course, scenery and atmosphere and will be back next year

In short: Very Enjoyable Fun Run
In full: Very good fun run - a mix of road, field, woods and country lanes. Some distance markers would have been good. Very well organised overall. Liked the home-made cakes at the end - a nice touch!
