In short: Great race
In full: Really well organised race with lots of water stations in the hot weather. Lots of medical supervision along the course and excellent marshalling. Very smooth. The course is very nice, fast and through scenic villages with good views across the sea. Fab medal and how superb to be able to swim at the leisure centre afterwards.

In short: Fab organisation and great facilities for afterwards.
In full: Really enjoyable race, lovely route and well organised. Great facilities afterwards with showers, food and drinks available. Excellent parking too and lovely atmosphere.

In short: Mayhem it was, mud was ankle deep. A hard 10K
In full: I've done quite a few fell races and tough ones at that, this was tough! I took it easy due to the deep mud and folk going down like ten-pin bowls around me.... Nice atmosphere and good changing area. My normal 10K time is about 50mins, but took 1:03 to do this one and although I held back a bit, not 13minutes.

In short: Nice and muddy!
In full: Definitely needed trail shoes for this course, even more so this year given the rain we've had recently. The organisers had taken care to mark off bad areas and fill pot-holes though. Great atmosphere.

In short: Great fun, hard in coast wind!
In full: The start was a wee bit chaotic, due to the tram works in Edinburgh. It still went off fairly well though, but you had to be there early and don't think about using the portaloos. No chance to get anywhere near them... Race went really well, could have had clearer mile markers and water station markings, but there were plenty of drinks. Great views and fab volunteers. The trails at Gosford Park were an unwelcome addition, saw a lot of folk walk here. A really fun day though.

In short: More drink please!
In full: The course felt like I was on a shallow incline for much of the race, a few good views and excellent crowd support.
I was disappointed with the number of drinks stations, especially in the early and final miles.
I went back to meet my brother and sister in law who were taking things easy for their first half, they'd run out of energy drinks for the slower guys. Plus, there were no medals or goodies for these finishers which is disappointing for such a big race.

In short: Eyeballs out race
In full: This was a really fun race, hard work and not for the faint hearted with the tough gradients! Absolutely fantastic views at the top, super marshalling and good value for money.

In short: Super race, great atmosphere
In full: This was a really nice 10K, differed a lot from the usual courses round Strathclyde Park. Shallow hill in the first kilometre, but nothing too hard. Nice to run past the mausoleum. Good water stations too. Nice warm up at the start, the TV cameras would have been better aimed at the fitness instructor than the crowd though, so we knew what to do. ;) Hopefully, this race will go from strength to strength. More early warning signs up for the locals would be good, so that they don't get too frustrated trying to get into/around the park with several hundred runners using the routes!

In short: Fabulous race, good course
In full: Really enjoyed Sundays race. The showers afterwards at the school were amazing. The medal was nice, not really that bothered about the t-shirt as I have too many now!
Better mile marker signs would help overall, but the new course was really good.
The volunteers did a sterling job. :)
