In short: I don't need one line for the summary one word will do "tough"
In full: No other race has made me ache the next day like this one did!!!!! Gorgeous scenery made the first climbs fade into insignificance .... the next climbs along with the heat began to get uncomfortable but the final climb and descent was nothing short of suicidal!!! Then the stunning run along the river for home was going well until someone stuck a cheeky last hill in right at the end just for good measure.
Great organisation, great cup of tea at the end and the cakes were worth writing home about.
Well done to Chepstow Harriers.

In short: Without a doubt as tough as it was last year but this year I got a PB :-))
In full: This is one of my favorite races and this time around although as tough as ever the weather was nothing short of glorious and the pleasure was all mine running through the glorious Elan Valley. I will be back next year and don't ever let anyone scare you off from attempting this run .....what goes up must come down !!!!

In short: Fast, flat and definate PB course.
In full: Well organised, fast flat race. Walk to the start is very short and helps with the warm down at the end. Very friendly, helpful and nice t-shirt to go with it. Will be putting it in my race diary for next year. Shower and changing facilities close by.

In short: This race is like giving birth!!!! The climb to seven miles was a killer but all worth it as soon as you see the valley below !!!
In full: This really was an excellent race...friendly, well organised and enough breathtaking scenery to make the miles fly by. By no means a breeze in the park...the climb to seven miles is tough but if you egt there in one piece the outstanding views will keep you occupied for miles. Some nasty little hills in places you would rather not have them especially the last one and 18.5 miles!!!! Some very friendly people and good support for such a rural race. Plently of water stations and jelly babies!!! I would definately do this race again ....plus they do a mean bag of chips in the chip shop and a great pint of beer in the pub!!!!
