In short: As Happy chap said, a bit unloved this year
In full: I have done this race for several years and have always enjoyed it, but this year it all seemed a bit haphazard. Surely they could afford a megaphone for the starter, I couldn't hear a word he was saying. That first and last stretch of road was inadequately marshalled, there was no water at the end - dreadful on such a hot day - and, worse still, nobody really seemed to care. However, the marshalls out on the course were supportive and friendly, as always. I don't like to be negative, as I know it takes a lot of effort to put on a race, but I felt today as if they had taken my money then put on a sustandard performance. A pity, because it's a lovely route, and a few nice touches could really make it into a superb event.

In short: Really enjoyable picturesque race
In full: Burnham Joggers supplied their usual high standard of organization, with friendly, encouraging (and probably freezing) marshalls. A lovely, lovely route, hills, woods, statues, a lake - even if you don't like running you could admire the views. Nice, warm HQ to thaw out in. I'm definitely up for next year

In short: Fast, well-organized and for a worthy cause
In full: I did this last year. It's a lovely fast, flat race with good organization. It was cold, but not as bitter as last year but, sadly, no gliders to watchthis time!

In short: Welcome back Cliveden cross country - I've missed you
In full: I was afraid this race had vanished from the calendar for ever, so I was thrilled to be able to run it again. Well-organized with plenty of encouraging marshalls, it is not the easiest of races, but so very rewarding to reach the end. Well done, Burnham Joggers.

In short: My third year. May there be many more, this is such fun
In full: What a lovely way to kick off those miserable days when the clocks go back. Brilliant organization, lots of splendid effects - the ghosts this year seem to have multiplied - a wonderful band of skeletons, some stunning costumes and fun, fun FUN.

In short: Brilliant. Top marks to BV runners
In full: Absolutely superb, with something for everyone. A challenge for the more serious runner, and great fun for the not-so-fast. A tough course, but the costumes and decorations and wonderful scenery made it throroughly enjoyable. The organization was perfect, and it was a joy to see all those delightful children entering into the spirit of the thing in their stunning costumes. The trick or treat bag at the end was generously filled, and the pumpkin medal is terrific! Many thanks to the organizers and marshalls for all their hard work. I'll be back next year.

In short: Spectacular scenery compensated for the uphill slog!
In full: Nice race. Parking close to start and finish, plenty of opportunity for refreshments, no big loo queues and heaps of friendly, encouraging marshalls. I found the hills challenging, as I live in a flat place, but the view from the top was breathtaking. Thanks and well done to the organizers.

In short: A lovely race, and really well organized
In full: It is lovely to have a race on Easter Monday to work off some of the chocolate excesses. This one is a gem, a superb route and excellent organization. It was a bit warm today, and that hill at 7k is a tad 'challenging'. Just when you think you're at the top, up you go again!

In short: A fun run that really is fun
In full: This is the sort of race that could convert a non-runner. A wide range of abilities, from those speedy kids at the front to the puffing mums, dads and toddlers at the back. A beautiful course, heaps of friendly, encouraging marshalls, a medal (from the mayor!) and a certificate. Perfect organization. They don't get much better than this.

In short: A nice race. Past problems seem to have been ironed out
In full: I ran this in November, and although I enjoyed the race itself, there were aspects of the organization that were not brilliant. However, this time things seemed slicker and smoother. It really is a nice race, with a lot of time on the towpath. The marshalls were friendly and there was an awesome array of goodies at the end and a nice medal. I enjoyed it, I'll definitely be back again.
