In short: Great race but last three miles were murder
In full: Start was ok, shame about the delay but understandable given the numbers. The route was enjoyable, good support and scenery with nice wide roads and even underfoot. The steps after the underpass came as a unpleasant surprise. Also the headwind along the prom was horrible but there's nothing that could have been done about that. Still managed my first sub 1.30 half so was chuffed.

THANKS TO THE MAN WITH THE JELLY BABIES SAT ALONG THE PROM!!! I know you shouldn't take sweets off strangers but...

Still no proper finish line or clock at the end? That should be easy to sort...

Tee shirt ok, medal nice.

All in all, I'll be back for sure next year!

In short: Nasty weather at the start, no mile markers but a great afternoon!
In full: As a first timer to Bexhill wasn't sure how this one would pan out but on balance it was a great afternoon despite the awful weather at the start.

The toilets for changing were a bit iffy as it was raining really heavily and everything was drenched. I sacked it and ended up changing at the De La Warr Pavilion which was just along the prom.

The stewards were really friendly and encouraging, especially the guy near the cone at the far end of the prom and the guy on the PA name checking each of us as we finished our laps. The course wasn't as dull as I thought it might be despite going round 4 times. I initially missed the mile markers but shaved 3.5 mins off my PB so maybe I don't need them. Nearly missed the finish and almost started another lap at the end, some more signs there might have been handy. Great cakes and really nice atmosphere at the finish.

Respect to Bexhill Runners for putting on a friendly and well run event for a great cause.
