In short: Why was it not 10k?!?!?
In full: Enjoyable race but would have been better if it had actually been 10k for comparative purposes!! Why didn't we start for a bit further on?! Better course than last year and better organisation - nice to see distance markers. Better t-shirt this year! Dogs were a bit of a distraction with long leads, don't think there is a place for them on an organised race, maybe a seperate doggy race might have been an idea?

In short: Great race, well organised
In full: Great race and a good intro to my first half distance - great support most of the way round which helped, but a lack on the homeward stretch between 8-9 miles! I found it hard mentally with going out of the park and then going back in again and it only being just half way! Would do it again!

In short: Fab organisation and great for PB's - just don't be in a hurry to leave!
In full: Really great course, really well organised. Great marshalls (moral boosting!) Perfect for PB's - I acheived my best 10k time ever and perfect for new runners looking for a break into this distance - looking forward to next year and breaking my PB again!

In short: Too far from the car park!!
In full: Ridiculous distance from car park to start line across mud and soggy heathland - not really suitable for spectators, particuarly children!! Poor weather obviously can't be helped but this did make the race particularly sodden and a bit like a steeplechase in parts! Only 3 km markers on route which is poor. Race was late to start as people still getting chips - why weren't these sent out prior to race?! Also no warning in pre race info about walk from car park to start line to pick up chips then back again to car park to get ready, use loos and then back to car park?!?!

In short: Great course but not enough water!
In full: Like everyone else seems to say - more water stations needed on the hottest day of the year so far but other than that - great organisation and fab scenic flat course! My first 10k and definitly coming again next year!
