In short: Enjoyable day out!! In full: Enjoyed the first 20 miles but then it got too hot and the lack of support mile 16 to 22 made it hard work as a long out and back where you could see for miles how far you had to go seemed hard work. Extra water stops put on and good support from locals with the hose pipes and jelly babies out, many thanks to them. Date of review: June 7, 2012

In short: Magnificent scenery, great start time will be back. In full: Loved this race ran it thanks to Asics competition who were the sponsors. Started at the back due to the loo queue but after the first mile which was a squeeze with the cars on one side of the road stopped reducing the width available for running. Managed a pb for the half after a good winter of training. Great meal in the village afterwards. Dont like cups at the water stops but hey the money raised is for charity so wont grumble. Thanks to all concerned at Coniston for a great race. Date of review: April 10, 2012

Enjoyed getting water from Dame Tanni......seeing a few celebs and getting wet at the end. Emotional seeing the Red Arrows No4 lady too. Date of review: September 20, 2011

In short: Atmospheric, awesome support and organized really well. In full: My third attempt to get to the start line and really enjoyed the whole day.Crowds were brilliant from the start. Fellow runners restored my faith in mankinds ability to show care and consideration to one another. The race is well organized, the RW pacers were brilliant. The guys and gals in fancy dress were awesome too and enjoyed meeting and chatting to the catterpillar team, Darth Vader, the Hulk and a guy in yellow speedos who got the ladies cheering from the start. Let me come back please. Super six training would be nice but having Liz Yelling on the Hashettes sub four thirty thread this year giving advice has been great so a big thanks to her.
