In short: certainly different!
In full: A great run accross the sand, through the water (sometimes deep!).

Great organisation, good atmosphere and a great challenge. One to do at least once and probably more

In short: Good event, nice scenary, really enjoyed it
In full: It was a well organised event as part of the local country show. A tough climb towards the end. A mix of road, trail and grass made it varied and made it an interesting run. Scenary was great, lot of water/sponge stations which were very welcome.

In short: Hilly, hot, well organised and superb locals
In full: This was my first half marathon and therfore the hilliness and the heat made it a challenge but makes me all the happier for finishing! The organisation of the event was excellent, free parking close to the start, good marshals and encouragement througout. The one thing that stood out for me was the local people. The course had a good number of spectators cheering us on. There were also people giving out drinks, ice pops, jelly babies etc. There were a number of people who had hosepipes set up in their front garden offering a shower which was very very welcome given the heat.

A few people have mentioned medals in their reviews. Unfortunately these were only for people who finsihed under a certain time which was a shame but as the entry fee was very reasonable and the goody bag included t-shirt i shouldn't complain :-). Great event!!

In short: Good fun and friendly atmosphere. Thrown into a tough climb right from the start. 2.5k steep hill. The grounds of Chatsworth were a great setting.
