In short: Good race, quick and flat but not very scenic! In full: Flat course, as it says in all the garb and definitely PB potential. Not very scenic, except at the beginning when you go through Chesterton a bit and see some very fine houses. Going round the airfield was quite depressing as you could see people way ahead of your round the other side! Good atmosphere and course overall, I got a PB which pleased me very much!! In short: Hilly course, but well suppported. Quite scenic! In full: You wouldn't expect a day in late September to be so hot! It was a beautiful sunny day, probably a little too hot for running (in my opinion). The course was quite hilly after the first 2k, up until 5k as we travelled over and through a golf course. The second half of the race was downhill, and through some residential areas with some gorgeous houses to look at! People came out of their houses to cheer us all on, and one family even put out a water station. Very well recieved. Overall a good race, but it felt hard at the time. It was for all abilities, and there were quite a few walkers too. Date of review: September 29, 2009

In short: Very good, flat course, excellently marshalled and organised. In full: A very enjoyable race, my first 10k having only done 5k's previously. The run goes through lovely scenery, around a couple of lakes(?) and through woods. The course was well marshalled, with people at every corner and change of direction to help you along your way. Many of them greeted you with a smile and words of encouragement which helped me on my way! Overall, excellent atmosphere and PB potential in my opinion. Date of review: July 5, 2009
