In short: friendly, fun & well organised
In full: good intro for anyone who has never done a duathlon, really lovely setting, nice flat run and easy bike ride considering its the cotswolds area.
cotswolds water park is great for families ,who can easily amuse themselves whilst the event takes place.

In short: small,friendly and fun
In full: although the ten mile is taken pretty seriously the five mile really is suitable for everyone.
the course isn't flat or traffic free but so few cars use these roads its not a problem,in fact you have to remind yourself they are still open!
the organisation is second to none, but as this was its 25th year i guess they know what they are doing.
tea in a cup and saucer,BBQ,sweets and drink stall, plenty of water stations(with sponges)village green start and finish, pub and a great atmosphere all for three pounds, bargain!.

In short: great for first timers
In full: third year of doing this race and i always enjoy it
this is run annually by great horwood junior school and has a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with tea cakes etc for sale at the finish, great for beginners as some people walk it so even a slow jog will see you back in far from last place and you always get a very nice looking medal the design of which is different every year.
although a little undulating the run is along a country lane closed to traffic so all in all a great little race

In short: gutted,expected better
In full: why did the 10k start in front of half, felt sorry for serious runners weaving through 10k and waisting precious seconds ,i tried desprately not to get in your way,i hope i didnt.
as for the marshalls,im the first to say thankyou for giving up time so people like me can run races but to the guy eating his lunch, the marshall who left her post to talk on her phone and the other lady chatting to a friend and had to be approached for directions thanks!
i know races rely on volunteers but if you dont like the job dont volunteer
im even more sorry to say i live in(and love)milton keynes

In short: good 5k for beginners
In full: can only speak on behalf of one of the few 5k runners but very laid back and friendly and although a bit pricey i was one of the lucky ones who received a very nice medal.
tea cakes and biscuits and a lovely playing field to warm up on was a bonus!
