In short: Once again a very enjoyable event!
In full: Second time for me and enjoyed it as much this year as the first time around. Wonderful atomosphere, great course, and very good organisation. I've done a few other 10k runs since last year's and did sub 50min each time - so for me the PB potential on this one isn't great due to the ascents, but every course is different and it's good to be challenged. Would concur with what others have said about the lack of safety pins. I had to borrow two from a couple of runners who had four.

In short: I am adding my comments a bit late - however, having competed in a few other races in the meantime, this is a wonderful race!!
In full: This is my local race so you may think I am biased.

Plus points: challenging course but not without PB potential; lots of scenic parts particularly after the first couple of KM's; first class marshalling, like clockwork and very supportive throughout; excellent atmosphere - with 800+ competitors you don't get isolated; a nice medal; and very good value for money.

Negative points; none as far as I am concerned.

Looking forward to it next year.

In short: Agree largely with other recent posts - plus points: scenic, good atmosphere/marshalling; negative points: entry fee and lack of goody bag.

In short: A good multi-terrain course with excellent scenery in parts. Rather challenging due to the 'Indian Summer' heat.
In full: The kissing gate and single file nature of the course in many parts were restrictive, but the marshalls did a good job in allieviating these problems as much as possible. I thought these may have been worse than they were given reviews from past 2 years, but they did knock a fair few seconds off ones time. Will definitely do it again next year.
