In short: Great course with a decent challenge
In full: The weather was great and the views on the course from mile six fantastic. About perfect running conditions allowed me to shave 12 minutes from my half marathon PB! The goody bag was excellent.
A special thanks to the marshalls especially those on the A20. It is the only small gripe that the A20 section is so narrow.
Overall well organised and friendly. Will see you again next year.

In short: Friendly, flat and fast
In full: Well organised, small event that provided a medal, t-shirt and cakes! The mayor was present to dish out the winners prizes and the encouragement of the local radio dj helped get everyone over the line. I agree with one of the comments about the kids race could be run before the main event but will definately be back next year. As for the marshals they were where they were needed and did a good job!

In short: Excellent event with something for everyone
In full: With five distances and difficulties this was a great race to be involved with. The planning involved must have taken weeks if not months so a big thanks to the orgaiser. Well marshalled and the entertainment of a tipsy(?) town crier at Rye to cap it all off!

In short: Future marathons will be easy after this....
In full: My first marathon and with the weight of sponsorship on my shoulders I had to finish depite the hills.
The organisation was fantastic, the atmosphere great and the dreaded hilly loop section surprisingly uplifting as everyone encouraged everyone else up and over. Two days later and legs are back to normal so I obviously need to run faster next year!
Thanks to all those marshals, drinks stops and organisers for putting on a great event. Keep the hills and see you next year!

In short: Challenging but worth it
In full: If there is a better supported half marathon in the country I'd like to know where it is. There is support all the way round even up the Queensway by-pass. (The long, long hill to the Ridge)
A great race and my second attempt shaving 8 minutes off last year.
Great organisation and will definately be back.

In short: Hill and pudding
In full: A quick jog around the block and then off up a sheer cliff (well thats what it felt like especially on the second lap!). Well organised and a fantastic snowflake medal and pudding! See you next year

In short: Quick and flat
In full: Well organised race and definately worth the trip. Some good support along the way and plenty of Marshalls. Strange water station spacings but a very small gripe for what was a great race.

In short: The hills make it hurt but....
In full: Having decided to try a half marathon for the first time perhaps a flat one would have been a good idea. However great support and decent weather made it a great experience, despite a niggle on the homeward stretch that meant adding 20 minutes to the time......makes it a pb to beat!

In short: Quick and flat!
In full: A fast out and in course around the western side of Rye Harbour. Got a bit caught up too far towards the front over the bridge at the start but managed to plod round in a PB. As a relative beginner the price was slightly steep compared to others I have done but I did enter as non affiliated on the day so you take your chances! Well organised and supported near the Harbour. The follow up e-mail was appreciated.
