In short: Tough isn't the word!
In full: The hardest 8.3 miles I've ever run! - garmin clocked it at 8.3- due to the trees could have been a little out- but was certainly not over 9! Don't know if the 10-12 mile estimate is to help justify the price, but I would have been happier if they'd have sold it as 8-10 miles- however with after the 2nd crossing of the Trent I was glad the finish line was in sight!
I was very apprehensive before the race, thinking it would just be a novelty obstacle course, but I found it a really good course, extremely tough but lots of fun, and I'll definitely be back for more!

In short: great race - start neeeds work though!!!
In full: something needs to be sorted with the start, the lane goes very narrow very early on and on a hill, you get boxed in and can potentially lose minutes- literally. needs some markers for where to line up going off expected finish times!!
but still a great race!

In short: a nice steady enjoyable race, well organised, great weather. I'll be back!
In full: the route was brilliantly signed and had plenty of marshalls, but a little encouragement off the marshalls would have been appriciated - i think 4 clapped in total. the drinks stations were handy with sponges and water, but could have done with smaller paper cups - i thought i was been given a milkshake at one point and managed to get more water down my top than in my mouth (but maybe i'm being picky). awkward trying to find room to run until the country lanes - it would have been handy to have had the traffic stopped in one lane until we turned off the main route. but all in all very enjoyable, good course and i'll be back next year... with a straw!

In short: very fast run. bit expensive though - would have thought there would have been chip timing for the price. but the tea bags came in handy

In short: ran it with my wife, a really fast course with great but sporadic support. very well organised with the staggered start- biggest problem came from the people giving false times to start in different groups!

In short: had a terrible run - but the atmosphere was brilliant and kept me going! the course is tough but rewarding. the finish was crazy though - all penned in waiting for goody bags, saw a couple of people pass out. needs sorting for next year!!

In short: start was very crowded, country lanes and a swarm of runners, made it very hard to get into stride untill after the first hill. the piper did a great job, and the spectators and marshalls cheered everyone on!
